The chemical facts of that street drug that turns people into something like zombie mannequins.
Street drugs are never predictable; they can never be predictable; anyone who does them is a fool if I'm being kind and a lost soul if I'm being less kind.
I do think that there are people who know better or should know better and do street drugs anyway.
I don't know the inner workings of their minds other than to say that these drugs cause brain damage.
They also cause trauma to every person who is in that person's life if that person still has even one person left. Obviously, many burned every bridge.
My sympathy level has therefore reached zero.
As someone who has been affected by this topic, I feel I have suffered an injustice. I never agreed to be subjected to this, either explicitly or tacitly.
Many have been affected by this, through no fault of your own, and to you I say I'm very sorry. To those of you who haven't been affected by this, I say I'm very glad.
You couldn't guess how miserable it is to witness, someone you used to care about, and deep down still do, who has taken a different path, and can no longer care about themselves, or you, or anyone else, self destruct.
You couldn't guess the different ways they can hurt even their own mothers (it's not a cliche for no reason), their families, their partners, and their friends.
The sister and I have formed a bond predicated on how we can make certain that this person has no legal right to ever enter our homes at the expense of them being homeless.
There is no other foreseeable path, as this person continues to absolutely ignore any actual numbers involved in the cost of living.
He won't stop selling plasma and immediately spending the money on drugs and bus tickets. He won't go to rehab. He won't get a steady job, any job.
My attitude wouldn't soften to him at this point, but the sister's might.
It's a cliche that you can't help someone who doesn't want to help themselves, but I'll be damned if it isn't the truth.
If you would have told me the "family" dynamic would come to this six years ago, I truly would not have believed you.
I loathe street drugs. Take what's medically necessary and prescribed by an MD. Get a licence and go to a legal cannabis dispensary.
Otherwise, you probably have a death wish and you're probably going to get what you want.
