    It was incredible. I'll never experience it again.

    I don't like to admit this, but I regret moving to Hawaii with the psycho child man.

    Still, being adventurous had its advantages. The night sky at about
    7,000 ft on this mountain (upper Pa'auilo in the Hámákua District) would be in the top 10.

    Pa'auilo below the belt road was a census designated place, but if you turned north instead of south, I actually lived north of where it ended.

      Mary Anna, You might remember this but the only picture of Hawaii I posted was one of the view driving down the mountain from where I lived in a forest toward the belt road and ocean.

        Maybe a Hawaiian adventure had its compensations? Sometimes, when the up sides and the down sides of a decision are all large, it's hard to know how to feel about it. Seeing that night sky on a regular basis must have been amazing.
