The reason these people come in illegally is because the process of getting workers in has to start with the employer specifying the exact individuals they want to hire. It’s ridiculous.

Kennedy's being blackmail, allegedly. Candace Owens did an hour report on it. Strange politics. His father and uncle must be rolling in their graves.

Most middle class families in the Mid-century might have been able to afford to set up trust funds but it wasn't in their DNA. My mother told the lawyer who visited her in the hospital when she was dying (paid for by my father and his brother) she wanted $50,000 to go into a trust for her granddaughter's education and she wanted $10,000 to go to her granddaughter's mother for home repairs. My sister told me many people witnessed this but the lawyer claimed these requests were impossible to understand, and after some time, my father convinced her to sign the will his lawyer put in front of her. The tumor attached to her lower spine, the brain cancer, and a single chemotherapy treatment for her brain had her sad and discouraged. In the final analysis, I think she was in too much pain to write the will she would've written it the clock could have been turned back three weeks.

There is a miniature of the valley where Moab is in the local museum. It is carved from balsa and it is very accurate. It is worth a stop if you go there.

When I was old enough to be out of the house I was required to pick 70 lbs. of cotton a day. I now know that was not a lot of cotton to pick. It was enough to keep me out of the house and teach me the value of work. It also put a little money in my pocket, which was fun. I still remember the singing of the black people that were picking to feed their families. It was blues and it was beautiful. I

Ah, but there would be the difference that they would only have permission to draw from the new account. Big distinction.

Would better shielding also prevent further instructions being sent after drone launch?

Egg alternatives...Marshmallows, potatoes, rocks... With egg prices stubbornly high, the internet has offered up a host of alternatives, with crafters painting rocks and influencers dyeing everything from marshmallows to potatoes. "Finally a use for B sized potatoes!!" one commenter wrote in response to a video posted on Facebook. https://qctimes.com/life-entertainment/nation-world/home-gardening/article_ef7f15f1-9c56-5b8e-89da-35e62f7b5957.html?utm_placement=newsletter&user_id=66c4c06e5d78644b3aab4472

You might expect American winemakers to be popping bottles of California sparkling wine these days. With President Trump's tariffs on the European Union, U.S.-made wine now has a greater price advantage over Italian prosecco and French Champagne. This is a classic case that protectionists make for tariffs: They help domestic producers. But the American winemakers we spoke with are more sour than bubbly about Trump's tariffs. "To me, it's awful. There's no upside," said Adolfo Hernandez, owner and winemaker at Monroy Wines in Sonoma County, Calif. So, why aren't tariffs a big win for American winemakers? We spoke to a bunch of them around the United States, and what they told us challenges the assumption that tariffs will help domestic industries. https://www.npr.org/sections/planet-money/2025/04/17/g-s1-60718/tariffs-make-sour-grapes-american-winemakers

@Axtremus said in For Teachers ... the Schuylkill River Sojourn program: I stumbled upon this teacher-centric outdoor sojourn program that made me curious: I looked through the site (albeit somewhat quickly), but I didn’t see how it is teacher-centric?
