    https://www.umnews.org/en/news/apology-okd-for-church-role-in-hawaiian-history

    They're talking about one individual!

The Christians behind all of it from beginning to end were members of the UCC!

I find lots of strange and/or misleading articles about Hawaii's history at least once a week.

They often omit important facts, and as often gets the facts wrong.

I saw part of a National Geographic article about Hawaii about a month ago. I don't have have a subscription and don't want one so I could only read the first two paragraphs.

The first part of the article was such a disaster I was happy to press the back button.

I don't expect anyone to move there for twenty years. I wouldn't even recommend it.

Yet the moral of the story is take what you read about Hawaii especially its history with a grain of salt!

That church preached tolerance. While practicing homophobia for many years.

"The man that hath no music in himself, nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, is fit for treasons, stratagems and spoils;” - Shakespeare

I was baptized into that church. I can tell you from experience they were very homophobic. They were so homophobic they became worthless to me. I don't care what they preach today. I'll never forgive them.
