Ah ha! I've managed to buy a single piece of merchandise withe original New College, New College of USF Seal. It's nostalgic for me. Also, I need it for research. It's a decal. I bought two three.
To be clear, it was the official Seal of New College of Florida as well.
The Seal being used today is adulterated. This is not a one off. There are now a few adulterated images of the Seal at the same time.
Not only this but they have created multiple new logos. The most famous is a Banyan tree athletic warrior. Many others also refer to sports teams.
New College never had sports teams. Also, the University of South Florida was deliberately structured without sports teams. It was decided sports teams would distract from its academic mission.
There was a version with English words. The original has Main words and date.

Google AIThe other thing they've done is tear the officially designated historic zone to pieces with massive construction. There is no actual legal protection for historic zones in the US. It's all about private public partnerships. They are now embarking on a project to double the student population practically overnight.
There's something else that's been scrubbed front the site. It's part of the History of New College that it was designed by the Congregationalist's official educational division. The community leaders had money but they didn't know from founding a school. This organization was official in the sense it represented the pilgrims who came in the Mayflower.
This information about the history of the school must exist somewhere. It's additional research for me.
Also, I was t to correct myself. I said in another post that Circus magnate John Ringling's Venetian styled late Gilded Age Mansion had never fallen in to disrepair. In fact, it did twice.

Google AI notes my alma mater, the second interation out three, officially, the fourth, de facto, started in 1975.
This makes sense.
Many schools became insolvent because of the inflation crisis. They had to make changes, sometimes drastic, to survive.
