This could keep Mark busy for years

Hold on to your telescopes: the DESI Legacy Imaging Surveys team has released the largest-ever 2D color map of the universe. The 5.6-trillion-pixel map contains nearly 4 billion celestial objects, primarily stars and galaxies. The data is available for all to use and publicly viewable through the Legacy Survey Sky Viewer.
@mark - Is your observatory still set up and being used?
-
Not for a few years now. My partner sold his house about 5 years ago and of course the observatory went with it.
I still have a very nice Astro-Physics refractor but it might be going away soon as well. Another good friend wants to buy it from me and move to Nevada. I don't use it at all as our night skies have fallen prey to sever light pollution. The new Casino that is due to open up this fall is about 1 mile from us as the crow flies. It is going to make things a lot worse. I have lost all motivation to even set it up.
