If this goes on much longer, the guillotines will be rolling out.

The problem is not that people are getting rich, the problem is the inequality of it. For the richest to have so much more than the average worker is an obscenity, a gross side effect of unfettered capitalism. Something is structurally very, very wrong with our current economic system.

CEO Pay Soared in 2025, 20 Times Faster Than Worker's Pay

When adjusted for inflation, global worker pay declined 12% between 2019 and 2025, the equivalent of 108 days of free work during that time period. In comparison, CEO compensation increased by 54% between 2019 and 2025.

    The industrial revolution cheapened everything.

Well, what I read and listen to (stuff about real estate and about the economy in general) seems to all be pointing to a consensus that we're about to hit something like the 2008 situation but structurally different and even worse.

I hope I can buy real estate soon because frankly it's so low here now I don't care if it goes lower.

I was paying my rent today and Mr. Monopoly the owner was at the office. He was very friendly because he remembered meeting me when he got parked his car on the road and got out of it a few months ago, and I was likewise.

It's all fun and games until the land you live on gets sold to private equity.

'But as they said in one of the later Rocky movies, "Time...it's undefeated.".-- Mik
