Interesting watch. Explains the reason behind several car features that have disappeared since the 'old days'. I always wondered about some of these and why we don't see them any more.

My '64 Bettle had a Baklite knob on the floor between the seats. You turned it to open for warm air from the engine compartment to heat the car in winter.
A feature gone but not forgotten.
Speaking of cars, I hope the illuminated hood ornament is optional. It's a bit much...

The first vehicle I drove was an old farm truck.
There was a fan on the dash. It was pointed at the driver or maybe his date in the summer, the windshield in the winter.@CHAS said in Bygone car features:

It didn't have air conditioning. I didn't care back then. Youth. Anyway, it didn't have vent windows, either! What a stupid car.
