Mayor is speaking. Said he saw the video of six masked and armed ICE agents pummeling a man and shooting him. Police chief said the man is 37, white, a resident of Minneapolis and a US citizen. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
DHS story is the man was armed and it was a defensive maneuver.

In graphic video now circulating on social media, five federal agents appear to wrestle the man to the ground in front of the New American Development Center. One of the agents hits the man three times with what appears to be a firearm. Bystanders are surrounding the group and filming on their cell phones.
Over 10 shots can be heard in the video, but itâs unclear if more than one agent fired a weapon.
Crowds are building in the area.
While DHS is posting to X spinning the story, the police chief said no one has contacted the Minneapolis police about the incident.

Three dots in the lower right hand corner. Last one is Download. You may have trouble getting to it. It's buffering like crazy, probably because of the traffic. It took me 30 minutes to download it but I have the whole thing.
I saw on Reddit that the video is getting taken down on various sites, but there's no putting this rabbit back in the hat. The video shows the guy in the middle of the street with his cell phone and ICE approaches him. It gets ugly fast. There was another person that was involved in the scuffle, I think a woman. She got knocked down by an agent and was right there when the guy got shot.
Meanwhile, Bovino was having a press conference with his spin. Clearly, he hasn't seen this second video.
'Approached w/gun' seems to mean 'approached to record while lawfully carrying a concealed gun that we didn't see until we wrestled him to the ground & swarmed him, which exposed the gun when his coat & was pulled up'

@wtg, thank you, I had to open it in a different browser to find those dots. They didn't show up in Firefox for me, but I found I could download it in Edge, but then the BlueSky video played without buffering, and now I'm not downloading it because I can't watch it again. My heart is breaking.
I can't process this.
I don't see how we can escape this evil darkness that is spreading across the country.

A third video.
In a bystander video obtained by the AP, protesters can be heard blowing whistles and shouting profanities at agents on Nicollet Avenue.
The video shows an officer shoving a person who is wearing a brown jacket, green skirt and black tights and carrying a water bottle. That person reaches out for a man and the two link up, embracing.
The man, wearing a brown jacket and black hat, seems to be holding his phone up toward the officer.
The same officer shoves the man in his chest and the two, still embracing, fall back.
The video then shifts to a different part of the street and then comes back to the two individuals unlinking from each other. The video shifts focus again and then shows three officers surrounding the man.
Soon at least seven officers surround the man. One is on the manâs back and another who appears to have a cannister in his hand strikes a blow to the manâs chest. Several officers try to bring the manâs arms behind his back as he appears to resist. As they pull his arms, his face is briefly visible on camera. The officer with the cannister strikes the man near his head several times.
A shot rings out, but with officers surrounding the man, itâs not clear from where the shot came. Multiple officers back off of the man after the shot. More shots are heard. Officers back away and the man lies motionless on the street.

I think we know what's coming. At least the threat, till he (hopefully) backs off.

President Donald Trump unloaded on Minnesota elected officials Saturday in the wake of the fatal federal immigration officer shooting earlier that morning, going as far as to accuse state leadership of âinciting insurrection.â
A 37-year-old Minneapolis resident was killed Saturday after several federal officers opened fire after having wrestled and beat the individual in a chaotic scene captured on video. The killing has sparked outrage across the nation, including in the city of Minneapolis where hundreds of protesters have clashed with police.
âMuch of what youâre witnessing is a COVER UP for this Theft and Fraud. The Mayor and the Governor are inciting Insurrection, with their pompous, dangerous, and arrogant rhetoric!â Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social.
The individual killed by federal officers was accused by the Department of Homeland Security of approaching officers âwith a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun.â The agency also alleged that the individualâs behavior was consistent with someone who âwanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement,â though facts of the incident have yet to be verified.
In his social media post, Trump shared an image of the individualâs supposed firearm, along with some questions of his own.
âThis is the gunmanâs gun, loaded (with two additional full magazines!), and ready to go â What is that all about?â Trump wrote.
