Vice President

I was wondering about that Jon. From the photos I'd seen before yesterday, I assumed he was well into his 70s but then watching the videos above I was like I think he's a lot younger than that -- his skin is pretty young looking but his stark white hair and bald head aren't doing him any favors (that said, I so VERY MUCH appreciate that he's going with what he's got instead of whatever that awful hairdye / combover combo is that the other side has going on, LOL!) . I still haven't looked up how old he really is, but he seems like an awesome guy....and if he's young enough to run for president after Kamala, even better!!!!

He’s only 60! I like him.
-
Honestly feel that presidents should be somewhere between the ages of 40 and 75. Preferably older than 45 and younger than 70.

Yeah, he turned 60 in April. Harris turns 60 in October.
-
how can I count on this ticket to represent the interests of the disadvantaged old white dude over 70 community?
we are so tired of having our interests ignored…

James Carville's take. Pithy, as usual!

Walz, in his first appearance Tuesday night as Harris’s running mate, came out swinging against the Republican ticket, taking aim especially at his vice presidential rival, Vance.
“I just have to say it. You know it. You feel it. These guys are creepy and, yes, just weird as hell. That’s what you see,” Walz said to raucous applause from the rally crowd in Philadelphia, using the viral new framing of the Trump campaign as “weird.”
“Like all regular people I grew up with in the heartland, JD studied at Yale, had his career funded by Silicon Valley billionaires, and then wrote a bestseller trashing that community. Come on! That’s not what middle America is,” Walz said, adding that he “can’t wait to debate the guy.”

"I voted for Jimmy Carter because he talks like me."

GOP attacks on Walz’s military service echo ‘swift-boating’ of Kerry two decades ago. Democrats say they’ve learned since.
Now, with the first military veteran on the Democratic presidential ticket since Kerry, that tactic is resurfacing. And it’s being led by Republican Donald Trump’s campaign and its chief, who was a key part of the 2004 attacks on Kerry.
-
Yup, I expected that with any military service record...
-
Wait - which candidate had “bone spurs”?
Its an odd - dare I say weird? - angle of attack.
-
Trump had bone spurs.
-
Exactly. And they’re trashing the service record of a guy who served for 20 years?
Remarkable.
-
His service record gives them something to lie about that the Repub voters will never check.
Weird and cunning and sleazy, I expect no less from them. -
