Fundraising.
Harris was expected to have fundraising trouble. Here’s why big donors are actually lining up in droves.
The idea that Kamala Harris would be unable to raise money has been quickly dismissed, with enthusiasm for her presidential bid hinging on who she’s up against — and who she’s replacing.

It’s down to six.
Not sure who it will be, but I’m of the opinion it won’t be Pritzker. Am thinking Walz or Shapiro.
Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen. Place your bets.

The coming rally in Philadelphia is a giveaway IMO.
-
Kelly or Shapiro?
-
I think it will be Shapiro.
-
@wtg I do too but I like Kelly more.
No matter - either will be fine.

The rally is in Philly. I like Kelley also. It will be Shaprio to help swing Pennsylvania.

Just wow. Imagine if that tweet had appeared in summer of 2020, but with black and female in place of white and male. Complete with ‘radioactively negroid’ and whatever the black equivalent of ‘salmon shorts with mayonnaise’ and ‘golly gee willikers’ are.

I suspect Shapiro. Seems to be the logical pick.
Chris Christie pointed out that Shapiro won his seat because
Donald TrumpFelonious Punk anointed Mastriano, the weakest GOP candidate in the field, to run against him.How hilarious would it be if that cost him the general?

It's Walz.
-
Sounds good to me!
Now I would like to see the campaign start focusing in on really going after Trump and Vance.

About Walz.

This was great:
If Democrats want to see what their party governing would look like, Minnesota is the example. But maybe the policies would be too liberal for the national stage, one TV interviewer posed to Walz.
“What a monster! Kids are eating and having full bellies so they can go learn and women are making their own healthcare decisions,” Walz said jokingly.
And this. It's a great strategy. The country is tired of the fear mongering and negativity.
Ryan called to mind a recent clip in which Walz mentioned that Minnesota ranked in the top three for happiest states in the nation. “Isn’t that really the goal here? For some joy? When he mentioned that I was like, dang man, that’s really good. That’s really good, because it gets us out of the political space and into the human being space.”
It’s part of a vibe shift Democrats are feeling since Biden announced he wouldn’t seek re-election. There’s less focus on the dire consequences of electing Trump again – though those consequences are certainly still part of the motivation – and more on detailing what Democrats want to do if they win.
“Being anti-Trump can’t be what the Democratic message is,” she said. “The Democratic message has to be about how we will govern differently from Republicans.”

“He might run for Vice President or he might clean the garage. It’s the weekend, anything can happen,” one tweet quipped.”

Read something today that said Trump campaign is relieved it wasn't Shapiro because they figured he would lock it up for PA. But honestly, every Pennsylvanian I talked to wants to keep Shapiro here for his hopefully 8 years of governorship -- he's the best governor we've had in a while, he's only two years in, and we want to keep him. All the Pennsylvanians I talked to are relieved it wasn't him. I also think his stance on Israel might not be seen as progressive enough to attract younger voters and he also has a semi-scandal in his closet in that someone in his office was the victim of sexual harassment and he supposedly helped cover it up or something - I'm not exactly clear on the details but I'm sure the republicans would make it sound awful (yet somehow, their own sexual predator candidate gets a free pass.)
Also, I feel like an old white dude will set a lot of the older boomer generation voters who might be wary of a female POC at ease - sad that that still has to be considered, but there you have it. And Walz is funny and has a social media presence....LL#2 actually likes him a lot and that's saying something because he hasn't been enthusiastic about any candidate since Bernie.
