I think that she's saying the time isn't right. No point in impeaching if you don't have the votes to convict.
Based on how everyone in the GOP has caved to the toddler-in-chief's threats and tantrums, I think I have to agree with her assessment.

There aren't the votes to impeach or to convict. And it seals the argument that many on the other side have that "they're just out to get Trump". TDS. They're brainwashed.
I think her definition of "doing something flagrant" is "he does something so awful that even members of the GOP rise up against him". I mean, we've all seen what's happened since he took office. With very few exceptions, everyone in the GOP has fallen in line behind him. As far as the voting public? Too many of those who voted for him in 2024 would still vote for him today over a Dem candidate. Seriously, take a look at the comments section of any right-leaning publication and you'll see what I mean.
I don't think that the "Trump is evil/bad" strategy will work. I'm with Carville, though I think I'd go back to his Clinton era advice of "It's the economy, stupid." That is a possible path to success.

There should be new impeachment articles every single day. The abuse of power we are witnessing is unlike anything we've ever seen before. US citizens being attacked. Constant, flagrant violations of the law. We cannot sit around waiting for the "right time" to do something. There will never be a right time.
If the situation was to be reversed and the pres was a Democrat, there would be no end to the calls for impeachment. There should be no end to the calls for impeachment, every single day. If the Democrats in congress don't get loud soon, it is going to be too late.

Yes, imo, there is. It shows the Democrats are willing to fight for Democracy. It will build momentum. It will energize the party--and heaven knows the Democratic party needs to see strong leadership. We've seen limp, insipid caving since January. It's a huge turnoff to large numbers of Democrats to see such lame responses as we've seen.

"Page then asked her again: Should impeaching Trump be part of the Democratic Party’s “agenda” for next year?
Pelosi said only if Trump does something flagrant." WTF?
He does something flagrant most days.@CHAS said in No, Nancy, it is not time to be nice:

Good thing she's retiring. Apparently, having masked ICE agents drag American citizens off the street with no explanation and no indication of where the persons will be sent isn't "flagrant"!? Blowing up sovereign nations' ships isn't "flagrant"!? Pirating another nations' oil isn't "flagrant"!? Murdering suspects isn't "flagrant"!? Ignoring court orders isn't "flagrant"!? Bribing isn't "flagrant"!?
What sort of culture do these politicians live in that leads them to say we need to wait for something "flagrant". Lame, lame, lame. Out of touch with reality.
