I have an appointment. I'll watch it later.

Why these bargains in the UK and France? What's up with that?

If I were 30 years younger and 100 times wealthier I would move there in a heartbeat.

C'est moi. I don't know a way to get 30 years back or multiply my wealth by 100x but it is beautiful.

Attractive building, but maintenance, investment in upgrading heating etc. will be a deterrent to purchase however lovely the property.
Probably loads of rules to comply with for such an historic monument.

If we ever move again the next home will need nothing doing to it beyond buying a new mattress.

I've been asked to make a list of furniture I want for my new place. A price no object traditional build full size mattress is #1 on my list.

I suppose it could be translated as:
            Be steadfast in winter winds
            Or
            True through storms

            You get the idea.
However, the old Italians pronounced v as w.
            Speak the motto out loud...

How about this property for our collective retirement community?

@AndyD Wow! Gorgeous place. One can fantasize.

                The industrial revolution cheapened everything.

Another, surely one of the great houses of England

Though I'd like to move here, in Cornwall, with my better half:

@AndyD The one you chose is beautiful, Grade II as you know, and more manageable I would imagine than your 1st link.

The 1st link is mind boggling. Grade I and that price?!

I'll take the Georgian mansion in your other post. I love them as I'm sure you've noticed by now.
