Greene’s resignation from her seat could set the stage for her to seek to replace Trump in the White House in the 2028 election, and possibly become the next leader of the MAGA movement once he exits political life.

So is that the real reason?

@ShiroKuro That’s the impression I got listening to her announcement on X, the one linked in the article I posted. She sounded like a candidate for President

              Yuck.

Maybe she’ll pick Erica Kirk as her running mate … 😑

She was on Bill Maher's show a few weeks ago. I saw Maher on Fareed's show last weekend and Maher made a comment about meeting her in person and that she wasn't necessarily what he expected. The comment was made in the context of reaching out to people you don't agree with.

Here's the segment from Maher's show. I haven't watched it yet...

                    She says she isn't.

"Running for President requires traveling all over the country, begging for donations all day everyday to raise hundreds of millions of dollars, arguing political talking points everyday to the point of exhaustion, destroying your health and having no personal life in order to attempt to get enough votes to become President all to go to work into a system that refuses to fix any of America's problems," Greene said Sunday. "The fact that I'd have to go through all that but would be totally blocked from truly fixing anything is exactly why I would never do it."

@wtg re MTG’s comments, that description seems about right. 😕
                        Time will tell, of course.

If she’s not interested in a future presidential run, IOW if there’s not some larger agenda, then her resignation just looks like immaturity to me.

Isn't it part of the American dream to amass millions of dollars and then be able to retire? Perhaps she sees more power and joy being part of entertainment media??
