Name: The Giant Rat of Normanby.
Age: Unknown, but probably not more than three years old, given the lifespan of a rat.
Appearance: Enormous!
A giant rat! Where? Keep it away from me! Don’t worry, it’s deceased. The 22in colossus was found by a pest controller in a home in Normanby, Teesside.
I’m more of a metric person, so I don’t know how big that is. You might prefer it that way: 22in is nearly 56cm. That’s five tins of beans, end to end. Or longer than the average cat (without tail). It looks exceptionally bulky, like a meerkat on steroids.

I thought he was referring to the two-legged politician variety. Probably lots of those in NY, too.

Feist Terriers are used to rid grain storage and other businesses of rats. Some Feist owners will bring their dogs to your business.

Sadly Scottish Terriers have been bred down to a smaller size. I bet my 24 pound Scottie would like to join in the fray.
Some terrier breeds have beards that are thought to reduce damage from rat bites. -

Same on the London Underground. When a train approaches they vanish.
Jack Russel dogs are our ratters though any small terrier like Border or Patterdale or Fox will have the natural instinct.
