I mean, that’s worse than a tariff, because it’s literally taking your sales away, [and] completely removing our products from the shelves,” Whiting said on a post-earnings call..
The wrong people are losing money?

USMCA, the deal he negotiated. The great deal. The best deal. What did he think the M and the CA stood for?
Trump pauses tariffs on Mexican goods covered by USMCA until April 2
Trump said he will pause tariffs on Mexican goods that fall under the USMCA trade agreement until April 2.
“After speaking with President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico, I have agreed that Mexico will not be required to pay Tariffs on anything that falls under the USMCA Agreement,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “This Agreement is until April 2nd.”
Trump said he agreed to the exemption “out of respect” for Mexico President Claudia Sheinbaum. He did not mention Canada in the social media post.

Trump pauses tariffs on Canadian products. Again.
Canada, wisely, keeps their response tariffs on US products in place.

What I thing is happening is that a small group of people benefit from the timing of various announcements and the fairly predictable reaction of the markets.
Perhaps that was the goal all along.

@Steve-Miller Our Premier, Doug Ford, said the same. I loathe the man with every fibre of my being but his response to this has been fantastic. He saw Trump as an ally because they share the same “money before everything else” idea. Now he feels betrayed and nothing makes a person fight harder than a perceived knife in the back. It might be the first time in the history of ever that my slightly right of middle father, socialist leaning me, and my “eat the rich” Gen Z kiddo have agreed with a politician”s actions at the same time.

I am hoping that this will turn out to be Trump's greatest miscalculation...
IOW, he keeps pissing people off and eventually they're all going to come for him

Tariff, no tariff, tariff, tariff exemption.
It may not be going well.
Trump's tariff turnarounds are key to his strategy — but it may not pay off in the long term

Trump threatens new tariffs on Canada, including 250% tax on dairy
“The market is having trouble digesting the multidimensional chess that Trump and his team are playing,” said Michael Block, market strategist at Third Seven Capital. “This multidimensional chess game is not going well for the grand master. There may be a method to the madness. He might be trying to confuse world leaders. But the market is saying stop confusing us. we don’t like this.”

There is none. No method, only madness.
His MO is chaos.
I believe part of that is because he cannot organize his own thoughts. We are seeing... we are living in... the manifestation of the chaos inside his head.
It's like "Being John Malkovich" except instead of a surrealist fantasy, it's an all too real nightmare from which we cannot awaken.
