Shorter eviction notices return in Tampa Bay https://share.google/xnbwSegiAONvrfMkx

It's 5 days in my town. It's been 5 days since I've lived here. It was 30 days in Hawaii for the 18 years I lived there.

This will accelerate homelessness because as the story notes 3 days can easily include days in 2 months. So can 5 for that matter.

Florida landlord tenant laws suck. There's no good reason for having 5 much less 3 day eviction notices.

Sucks for the tenants (who don't pay rent on time), good for the landlords (who follow the rules).

        I beg to differ.

The law per se legitimately regulates contracts. If you start with the assumption one party is following the law in a contract and the other party isn't you're really not describing justice.

I don't care that a 3 day eviction notice happens to be convenient for landlords.

You could make the notice 0 days in theory.
