Can you say "completely off the deep end?" On Truth Social this morning:

Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP

Trying to negotiate with a fanatical terrorist regime who murders tens of thousands of its people for the slightest protest and with any excuse, has, quelle surprise, proved fruitless. What to do?

Trumps actions are usually unexpected so who can predict what will actually happen on Tuesday?

Somehow yelling and swearing at them doesn't seem like it would be very effective. Especially, according to him, after we've already obliterated them.

It's just a bit disconcerting to have a world leader having a temper tantrum(p) like a five year old...he's sounding desperate.

As you say, he often does unexpected things. And he hates being thought of as a loser. I just hope he doesn't do something monumentally stupid.

Trumpy certainly makes daily life interesting for the first world. But reaching our age we know the fleeting nature of politics and the far more important things to us in our own lives.

Expressed for example by Keats in a personal thought:

How can I, that girl standing there,
          My attention fix
          On Roman or on Russian
          Or on Spanish politics?
Yet here’s a travelled man that knows
          What he talks about,
          And there’s a politician
That has both read and thought,
And maybe what they say is true
          Of war and war’s alarms,
But O that I were young again
And held her in my arms!

If only he had been locked up Jan. 7.

This is too much like going too fast down country roads by a drunken father at the wheel.

I'm not going there with this Iran situation today; instead I'm going to concentrate on Trump.

He's not mentally competent for the office. WTF.

@wtg That is a good way to stay in office in Texas.

                    There's a promising a Democrat in Texas (Andy - B...something, maybe).

Unfortunately, I agree with Kyle Kalenski's (sp? - don't feel like Googling speling now - sorry) analysis that when Democrats go into the who canned- quote "I don't hate billionaires" rhetoric, it's a sign they don't understand, or don't care about, or are beholden to oligarchy.

BTW, I watch part of a documentary about RFK, Jr.'s 2nd (I think) wife. I couldn't watch it until the end but she seemed very smart, very capable, very honest, was earnest in a good way, gave birth to his children, and masterfully remodeled his house because it was about to be condemned.

He cheated on her with her own dinner guests, gaslight her, in her words, and generally mentally tortured her.

His professional life (lives) and personal life (lives) paint a picture of a twisted soul, imo.
