People are strange

[Rant] Rants are a time honored tradition on posting boards or at least they were in the old days when the best ones could and sometimes did reach the level of poetry.

This rant will reach no similar heights of creativity.

I don't feel inspired to say the least, I'm not in the best mood, and I've been so sick all day, that my appointment with my PCP ideally should have been yesterday but had it been or today or probably tomorrow, I literally can't leave my sick bed and bathroom certainly couldn't tear myself away for four hours to go to an appointment.

It's ironic you might well not be able to get to a Doctor or pharmacy on days when that's where you need to be.

I wish Doctors still made house calls carrying their Doctors' bags. That's not nostalgia, BTW. I know I never saw a Doctor make one in my lifetime.

So, I I have a bad infection, at least the flu, maybe COVID, maybe both, and miserable symptoms modesty forbids me from describing.

So, imagine, hypothetically, because to be clear I'm not saying this happened an hour ago, you tell someone you trust that you are sick and describe your symptoms.

Image the response you get is not compassion but instead are told that they have been sick but they have been going to work for weeks.

You wouldn't be in a public place except a hospital for hours let alone weeks if you were experiencing my symptoms.

Seriously?

So, people are strange about health.

You want to know what else people are strange about? Money.

Don't get me started or you'll have to stare down a post rambling on about how in the beginning seashells were currency and WTF sense did that make.
