        From the Avelo article:

“The program provided short-term benefits but ultimately did not deliver enough consistent and predictable revenue to overcome its operational complexity and costs,” Levy wrote.

In others words, they're still a shit company. Ethics and morals had nothing to do with their decision, just cold hard money. The modern corporate mindset is destructive.

        The industrial revolution cheapened everything.

I had a day of taking down and storing Christmas decorations 😔 and watching rather grim news of countries interacting, child poverty, cost of living and storm warnings.

Thank goodness for my daily morning dose of Frasier.
Today it was him writing a simple ad-jingle that he naturally turns into an epic orchestra/choir/monologue which Daphne describes "Like Gilbert & Sullivan but frightening. So so funny, got to love America sitcoms. It was followed by an episode where his Dad pretends to be gay. Laughing out loud.

More than a dozen House Republicans broke ranks with their party Thursday and voted for a Democratic bill to extend expired Affordable Care Act subsidies for three years without any restrictions.

Why it matters: It's a rare instance of Republican lawmakers defying President Trump — though the phenomenon has become less and less taboo in recent months.

Seventeen House Republicans voted with Democrats to extend the subsidies despite opposition from Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.).

The bill, which passed 230-196, now heads to the Senate, where Senate Majority John Thune (R-S.D.) has signaled he has no plans to bring it up for a vote.
