A famous house. Not my style, but nice views of LA.

The Guardian had an article about it.

    The industrial revolution cheapened everything.

"This article was amended on 25 November 2025 to clarify that the National Register of Historic Places is a listing of places that deserve preservation but does not actually provide any protection for those places."

This is how much we care about historic preservation in the US. I watched the destruction of the Sarasota Historic District with my own eyes over decades now. Destroying historic properties for greed and aggrandizement is a thoughtless and deranged act.

The house. I'm a fan of mid-century modern but that's an astronomical amount of money for a small house.

I usually love MCM but for whatever reason I wasn't over the moon about this one.

But you're right, the views are amazing.

Very famous house. Nice to see that no one has messed with it.
