    The Goggle play store offers me an app that lets you make the font any size. Unfortunately, it rearranges your regular screens. An app that took away the phone's interface and replaced it with something else was randomly downloaded on my phone when it had a virus. It was completely unfamiliar to me and impossible to use.

      yeah, I pretty much download books to my iPad and that’s it.

      But that’s just me, I can’t speak for the older set…

      Yeah, and I remember you telling us about when all the tablets you read were made of clay.

        My Kindle Paperwhite came in handy when the power went out for a couple hours on Thursday night. I’m in a hotel in Nashville for the weekend.

          I reckon a kindle could work for novels and autobiographical works, humorous works and travel guides.

          But some subjects almost demand a quality paper with colour photographs, or b&w illustrations.

          E.g. Netsuke, art, crafts

          Or gardening books to dip into for ideas and information

            @AndyD Oh definitely yes. My Kindle is for reading. My knitting books are on paper, in color.

            I do sell my knitting book, Brioche Knit Love, in paperback and also a Kindle version, but the Kindle version only works in the Kindle app (for computer or tablet) because it’s color picture- and chart-heavy.

            So yes, definitely depends on what the book is!

            I just read Sinner’s Prayer by @deweylou on the way home from Nashville on Sunday. Kindle is perfect for bringing a stack of books in my backpack!

              Looking on Amazon that's an interesting book you authored. MrsA likes knitting squares for patchwork and will love it (a forthcoming anniversary gift).

              Here's her craft/knitting books, which again I can't imagine on kindle

                @AndyD Ooohh...you could set Mrs A loose on @adagiom 's website:

                https://pdxknitterati.com/

                Some truly amazing stuff there!

                    Well... Sinner's Prayer, the second in the series of Dan Randolph/Greg Zhu mysteries, is available in paperback, or Kindle ebook from Amazon, or EPUB ebook at Rakuten Kobo, and multiple other locations as well. Just sayin'. 🙂
