Are you in Quick Reply or the full edit screen?
-
Steve, those are lovely!
Re photos, from a laptop, you can literally drag and drop (even in the quick reply box)
-
I just left clicked on a photo of Raffi from WTF, then dragged it over to the tab I have open here, dragged down this thread and pasted into Quick Reply.
-
From my phone, I just copy the photo and the paste in here.

Hmm, not sure what that unneeded code is, but I hit return at a weird spot, so that's probably why.
The photo still posted though. Pretty easy.

There we go. It's a multi step process posting from Flickr. I have to download it from Flicker to my desktop and then copy/paste it.
I'd rather link to it so as not to incur storage fees but that will have to be a project for another day.
Meanwhile, these daylillies were a gift from LL when we first moved here. Last year I got a few blooms but this year they're going crazy! I'll post another picture when more blooms open.

BTW, how do you like that collapsible hose? I've been tempted to get one, but there are quite a few complaints about them rupturing. I think that one is a Hydro-something...from Home Depot? Great warranty, but you have to register it within 30 days of purchase...

I love it! I have like 6 of them now. They do cut down on water flow a bit but it's a minor price to pay for how convenient they are.
I have had one fail but it was my own fault - I unscrewed it wrong and once you do that you can't put it back together.
The only one I have seen at HD is called a "silver bullet" and as far as I can tell it has no warranty. The ones I use come from Walmart, have a 10 year warranty and are made right here in Cleveland! You do have to register for the warranty but it's really easy.

Ok, can confirm, Flickr and this site do not play well together.
Flickr doesn't give you a true link to the image, which is why you can't really embed a Flickr photo here.
Although if you go download, select the size you want, and then open it (so it just goes into your downloads folder) you can copy that and paste here. And then in theory those files in your downloads will eventually be deleted, or you can mass delete. i.e., if you don't want to truly save random photos on your laptop.
But yeah, it looks like Flickr doesn't give you a generic link, it wants to maintain control over photo hosting. (That's probably how I ended up using postimage)
Anyway, if you've taken the photo with your phone, you can upload from there, depending on the file size...
Last comment: I just made 4 test posts and deleted them. I can still see their outline but I don't know if anyone else can. Kind of interesting, wonder if they'll stay like that for me...

Logged in as a mod, I can see your actual deleted post.
If I'm looking at this thread as a guest, I see "This post is deleted".

That first link you tried, the one that starts with livestaticflickr...it works.
From my Windows laptop:
-
I went to your Flickr account - Photostream
-
Did a right click on the photo, selected "Copy image address"
-
Came back here to a full reply screen and used the Image icon and pasted the link.
No storage issues and I think it's pretty straightforward.
Don't know if you're posting from a phone, and if you are whether it's iOS or Android, but I'm guessing you can do pretty much the same thing...

Looks like I’ll be able to do that from the desktop but not from the iPhone.
How much does it cost to store photos on here?

And I can still see the deleted posts as well, they’re just sort of faded out (not grayed out) but the lack of being fully saturated color is what shows you they were deleted. Seems weird, I wonder if they’ll disappear eventually.

WTG, that’s what I was trying to find (the option to copy image link or address) and I could not find it. But at least now we know it’s an option! Thanks!
