    I’ve recently discovered his YouTube channel and I’m hopelessly obsessed! What a story, what a house, what a garden!

    He’s a Chicago guy with several highly rated restaurants. There are tours of his house and gardens. His recipes make Mexican cooking, which I’ve avoided as being too difficult, look easy. He might be the Martha Stewart of Mexican cooking.

    Chicago folks, have you tried his restaurants? Does anyone else follow him?

      When I fly through O'Hare, I often stop by Bayless's Torta Frontera. It's quite good airport food.

        He's been a fixture around these parts for years. Started with Frontera Grill and expanded from there. He also has a line of sauces and even frozen foods, I think.

        He used to have a cooking show on PBS, Mexico One Plate at Time. Pre-YouTube.

        I bought the companion cookbook and the recipes were great, but pretty time consuming.

          Tried one of his recipes once. It took forever and I thought the kitchen would never recover.
          My cooking is something like a Lucille Ball episode in the Airstream skit at best.

                  I love making Mexican food. I still do tostadas but enchiladas just take too long these days.

                    @wtg

                    That’s the series I’ve been watching. Thinking I may try one recipe per week.
