25 important recipes

So two articles...the first outlines the 25 "most important" recipes of the last century. Some interesting choices.

The second is written by someone who spent a month actually preparing said recipes. His commentary is pretty amusing....

That second story reminded me of this memoir:
Julie set out to cook every recipe in Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking. I thought it was a very entertaining read.
There is still something of art involved in cooking, even with a recipe in hand.

I read the book and have seen the movie.
The movie is worth watching for the performances by Meryl Streep as Julia and Stanley Tucci as Paul Child.
The recent Netflix series with Sarah Lancashire, David Hyde Pierce, and Bebe Neuwirth is also good, though it does stray into fiction here and there. Well acted nonetheless.

Both of those articles are great!
