We have a bunch of plumbing projects we're going to have done. We're going to be messing in the area of the basement laundry tub, replacing the old faucet and the 1960s vintage shutoff valves.
We're wondering if it's worth putting in an automatic shutoff valve for the washer in case of either a rupture in a water hose or a backup in the washer. I think they're more common when people have a laundry room on the second floor of a house, but hey, water is water and who wants a wet basement.
Anyone got one? Suggestions for specific models?
