FDA issued a "Dear Vet" letter today warning vets about possible neurological problems resulting from the use of Librela. It's a new drug that's being used for dogs with severe arthritis. Our little guy Raffi was on it. We don't regret trying the Librela because his arthritis was so bad that we were on the verge of making a decision because he had so much trouble moving around. But he did have nearly all the symptoms that were included in the warning. He was a very old pup, and we'll never know for certain whether it was what finally did him in. He got another mostly good six months after he started getting the shots that we don't think he would have had otherwise. You make the best call you can with what you know.

Just wanted to give a heads up to all the dog owners here, as I had reported that the initial results with the Librela were very good. A lot of dogs have had good results, but it may be the case it isn't quite the panacea it may have seemed initially.
