My Royal Family Thread
-
I very often find Royal Family topics I think are interesting.
I will consolidate them in this thread.
I consider most of these topics trivial. I intend this thread to be harmless fun.
At best I'll be glad if any of you get anything interesting from this conversation.
At worst I won't clutter up this forum with multiple posts on the same topic.
(BTW, I factory reset my phone. The Internet still wasn't working. It started working mysteriously using mobile data about twelve hours later. I can't explain it.)

This is a quote from a 4th rate gossip site. I don't think it's worth linking to it.
The premise was HM snubbed the York sisters by not inviting them to a state banquet. Who knows?
Then we have this gem--
"It is pertinent to mention, despite representing the Royal Family on so many platforms, the York sisters do not hold any royal title."
Well, the York sisters are Princesses of the United Kingdom. They use the HRH honorific. They didn't marry into the family. They are Princesses of the blood.
It makes you wonder if the people who wrote this are are as incompetent as they seem on face value or if this is a feint (heaven knows why this would be) and they are putting on an act.

This TikTok video is an example of the complete nonsense I see every day.
Link to videoThere was no agreement between Diana and the Queen.
Camilla did become Princess of Wales.
She didn't use the title because she didn't want eggs being thrown in her face.
Diana, Princess of Wales is a courtesy title.
It is not a royal title.
Sarah doesn't have a royal title either.
The Queen signed a Letters Patent before the divorces (planning to ax them both) stating her daughters in law would have these courtesy titles in the event of divorce and that the HRH honorifics would be taken away.
She then publicly stated after the divorce that Diana was still considered a member of the family. This would have worked in a Louis Carroll novel. It didn't work very well in real life.
I've said this before but Charles and Camilla had to be married in a civil ceremony, and their marriage violated several Acts of Parliament.
Their marriage is illegitimate.
But let's be clear about something. There was no love lost between the Queen and Diana.
I wonder (I guess it's just a fascination of mine) who is responsible for this type of video and why are they made.
My only plausible answer is that they're propaganda and the purpose is distraction.

Well, I can't resist the temptation to say they've developed an international reputation as grifters.
Their latest in a never ending series of disasters were separate appearances.
He was interviewed on camera by a reporter for the NYT. He was treated fairly by the interviewer but he lied, contradicted himself, demonstrated once again he doesn't understand the First Amendment of the US Constitution, and ended his disastrous appearance by answering a question by referring to a book quotation. He arrogantly told the interviewer to read the book when asked for the meaning of the quotation.
She appeared on a red carpet with Tyler Perry where she made a spectacle of herself by grabbing him and conspicuously drawing attention to herself. She followed this up by being filmed in profile while posing for a camera facing her while walking through the car park and dragging her dress over its dirty floor.
Harry said he had one foot in and one foot out in the interview.
He negotiated for this at the "Sandringham summit" and HM's answer was uniquivovally NO.
She's a stalker. I have no sympathy for her.
He's in terrible shape emotionally and spiritually. It's unfortunate.
The best thing for him would be a divorce, for the Spencers to give him refuge, and for him to lead a quiet life. JMHO.

Here's why it's important.
I'm joking! I'm not sure how important it is/ be.
Oops! I did it again.
A biography is set to be published. It will say Andrew will split his time between the UK and the UAE .
“It wasn’t very long ago that Charles was captured accepting bags of cash, thousands of pounds of cash in Fortnum & Mason bags, from an overseas donor of dubious integrity. He looked like a mafia boss. So, Andrew in a sense is no different from anybody else. He’s just more clumsy and stupid about it.
"It was first reported in 2010 that Andrew had free use of a “very impressive” and “gilded mini-palace” in Abu Dhabi. Andrew’s then-spokesman confirmed he was “given the use of a villa by the Abu Dhabi royal family” for both personal and professional use.

It's Eugenie's relationship with Harry and Meghan and the issue (sic) of their children being born by a surrogate (or in the case of the daughter-- maybe borrowed from a friend, the key word is 'maybe' but this is not a joke) that I'm focusing on next. I'll post about it if I can figure this out with any degree of certainty.
