Ridiculously hot (see the Corn Sweat thread) here in Chicago on Tuesday. Storms blew through Tuesday night and did a lot of damage. The worst of it hit just a couple of miles to the south and off to the east of us. My alma mater got hit hard; tough to see those big old trees down. We lost power for about four hours but no major tree damage in my immediate area. Others in the area that was most damaged are just getting power back today.
Sheridan Road runs the entire length of NU's campus.
