Anybody like crudo?
..which is just Italian for raw fish.
At Paladar 511 the other night I had a life-changing tuna crudo with shaved fennel, orange, pistachios and avocado. One of the best things ever eaten. Going to try to recreate it, starting with this recipe.

RE: Whatcha doin' for Turkey Day?
@Steve-Miller said in Whatcha doin' for Turkey Day?:
@Mik What are your thoughts on Coopers Hawk? They just opened one near us and we want to try it.
Interesting food, not crazy about the wines. One would think since that is their schtick they'd do something special. Last couple times have been for lunch, so iced tea, no wine. Friends brough their Lux sparkler over a few weeks ago. meh. Sweet and uninteresting.
The wines may have gotten better, it's been two or three years since I tried them. Again, the food is good.

RE: Whatcha doin' for Turkey Day?
Just got back from a week in New Orleans, heading to Vegas for Christmas, so Thanksgiving will be quiet, just the two of us. We'll be going to Cooper's Hawk as I really detest making TD dinner.

RE: Fetterman's thoughts
Agreed, Cindy. I do not believe trans folks, or anyone, really, should be condemned or less of a citizen for their life choices. Neither do I believe they or anyone has the right to dictate how others must address them. I don’t believe they should expect society to ignore the obvious contradiction inherent in biological males playing in women’s sports, using women’s restrooms, etc. no one has to endorse these choices. It is nothing at all like the civil rights movement.

RE: The Map of Board Games
@dolmansaxlil yeah, it could work with two, but would not be as much fun.

RE: The Map of Board Games
My BIL designs and markets board games. We played his latest one the other night. Complicated, but lots of opportunity for strategy. After you've played it once it becomes clear. He also has Mines of Pekari.
