Apple Inc. has implemented a system to "prove" just that:

It's built into the iPhone 18, you can choose whether to use that feature (configurable on the phone), and if you do, your iPhone will send your picture into Apple Inc.'s cloud for cryptographic processing (the phone needs to be connected to the cloud around the time the picture was taken). Apple Inc. claims that it cannot actually "see" your picture as it cryptographically signs it. At the end of it, there is a trail of digital evidence that speak to what the original picture was as taken by the camera sensor, which sensor captures the data, in which phone, and when the picture was taken.

Now the trillion dollar question: What do you folks think of it?
