<p dir="auto">The proposal basically is to levy an annual 1% tax on "taxable wealth" above $10 million, where "taxable wealth" is calculated the same method as that calculated for federal estate tax.</p>

I learned about it in a video and the person who made it made an argument that it would be a slippery slope like the federal income tax and would eventually tax the middle class out of their homes. I have no idea if he was right about that or not. The federal government should bring back reasonable income and corporate taxes, imo. I don't see it happening.</p>
